Welcome! My name is Ms. Young and I am a certified English teacher. I have a passion to help students grow in their reading and writing; but more importantly, I want to strive to encourage each student to take control of their education and pursue their own ambitions!
My Story
Growing up in a small town, I quickly realized that education would give me the opportunity to be successful. I thought that I would become a psychologist; however, when I was a senior in high school, I decided that I would use my love for literature to teach and encourage students to pursue their education and passions. I decided to head to the beautiful mountains and enrolled in Appalachian State University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in English, Secondary Education.
